Alice In Wonderland

Lately, I guess I have been having a bit of an Alice fetish. I've been reading The Looking Glass Wars and it's an amazing book! I decided that I need to go to the library more often. Mostly because my English is going slowly down hill, I've been writing/speaking too much Japanese, recently. If there is such a thing. Anyways, I'm going to be Alice for Halloween. This is probably the first time I've planned out what I'm going to be, before October.

I can't wait until the Fall semester starts! Summer's been pretty boring, to be honest. I would've been camping for 5 days. But then my dad decided he didn't like crowds, so we had to leave the next day. After spending a bunch of money on camping stuff, there wasn't much left to do fun stuff with.

I saw the newest Harry Potter movie! It was the best one ever, so far! I need to re-read the series. I haven't even read the last book yet. Oh well. I rather read 'Little Cricket'. It's a pretty good book, too. It takes place in Vietnam in the '70s. It's not too harsh, though.

Cherry Blossom Festival '09!

We (Neil, Sun and I) meet at the fire-look-out place in Little Tokyo at 10. Then we go to the opening ceremony where there was some awesome Taiko drumming going on! It was beautiful!

Next, Ishii-sensee gets her "Teachers Make A Difference Award"! YAY, SENSEE! She is the best "official" teacher I've ever had (Although I've only had probably 3 teachers in my life, so far... :3. My mom, Ishii-sensee, a sign language teacher from SCC (he was the ABSOLUTE WORST TEACHER, EVER!) and Shimura-sensee (from Japanese Culture class, she was okay but she gave out wayyy too much homework!).

Ishii-sensee is in the middle with the short hair, next to the guy with white hair.

This is Sun, posing with Hello Kitty, who distracted us from the awards ceremony. Oh, well. It was basically over anyways!

What? Do you think I'd miss out on this photo op?

Sun (black) tries to teach Neil (white) how to play Go...

20 minutes later... How's that "teaching" going? O_O More like total annihilation! Sorry, Neil.
Hmm... Who won? Those game pieces in and on top of the plastic lids are the ones that the players have captured. See that big pile of white? That's all of Neil's captives. See the little black group? That's what Neil has captured from San. :D Not even close, Sun wins by a landslide!

Even in the big city, there's some beautiful man-made sites. I never thought I would have "beautiful" and "man-made" in the same sentence, ever.

People whiz by not even knowing that that beautiful sky line is there.

Life update!

Dad took my little brother and I to Snow Vally in Big Bear. I flew down the runs like hell broke loose and was chasing me, I must have gotten up to 15mph (<-- Possibly a 'big fish' story:D). That might explain why it hurt when I used my special breaking technique! Which is basically falling on my bottom, it worked pretty well until the snow decided to turn into an ice rink :p.

Nice pic. of the ski lift, self*pats self on back*.

I've seen this car around our house lately, I have no idea what the "Meat Party" van is. Mom says maybe it's a hooker bus. O_o maybeee?

This is me at the Japanese/Chinese Open House at my collage! Sensee, (behind me in the yellow Kimono) helped me figure out how to get the Kimono on! (It's pretty difficult!) But they're soooo comfortable! I can see why the Japanese ware them in the summer!

Cake or Death? Just kidding, we only have death.

I hate calling people on the phone! Grr just a minute ago I called my collage to have them send me around all the offices. And STILL not helping ONE BIT!!! It says that I can't sign up for any classes at all this semester and that I'll have to wait until the Summer semester. SO, since this is oh-so-obviously-wrong I called in and waited for approximately 29 minutes (out of a 31 minute phone call) just to have the machine hand up on me. NICE! I just can't wait untill ALL of my Japanese classes are over and I know the language like I grew up hearing it (well I guess I have heard the Japanese language since I was little-er). Tee hee sensee said that after 11 years old the ability to have the accent like a native is impossible, I'm pretty sure that I have a major advantage then over the rest of the class because I'm not much older than that right now.

Oh Bla De, Oh Bla Da

I have some life changing decisions to make soon! Aaahhh! I still have to see if the computer will let me register for JA2. I still need to find a way to play guitar SOMETIME in the day. AND I need to decide if I'm staying in Gymnastics! So far my plan is: I will drop Gym after February, I'll stay in my JA2 and I'll be able to play the guitar when Dad's schedule changes. I'll start Guitar Class too.

I just would really hate to miss out on the seasons like Spring and stuff. I still want to go have a nice bento box lunch in a meadow somewhere with some awesome tunes from my guitar. Mom wants me to wait until her interview is over and by that time there's only 6 days until the new semester starts! I don't even know if the Administration's office is open at that time. Grrrr. I wish all my classes were on one day and that my Japanese classes weren't 3 hours at a time (they're twice a week so hmm, a fun 6 hours of sitting in a freezing classroom)! I guess I'll figure it all out.

The Big B

First off I want to let everyone know that I've received a B on my Japanese 1 class! YAY! It may bot be an A but... It's still more than passing! I like to think of it as this:

A = Smarty pants
B = Clever
C = Average
D = You must have been sleeping throughout class...
F = Get out of town.

Gunslinger Girl: Slow but steady

I just got to watch another episode of Gunslinger Girl -IL Tetrano- which is pretty good. It takes people awhile to sub them though. As soon as I'm done learning Japanese I'm definitely going to fansub something! And it will be awesome!

Right now I'm swimming in homework (like always) and also have/had gymnastics tests. Which I'm somewhat afraid of falling behind. If Coach Cheese (she got a job! YAY!) passes me in gym after lvl 6 I won't get to see her Thursdays anymore ;(. I hardly get to see her as is because she has job training on Fridays (previously Disneyland days) and Renaissance fair stuff on Saturdays grr. I kind of miss those Fall days that we used to go to the candy store and sneak the food into the dollar movies...

Class wise I'm still really busy! Even thought I had to drop my Saturday Japanese Culture class. I really didn't have the time to do the teachers ridiculous amount of homework.

I've been a blubs today just sitting on the couch while my cat attacks me from above the couch. And is now ferociously trying to make muffins on my lap. So adorable.

The holidays are getting closer and I've already got half the people on my list presents! AHA! I'm ahead of schedule this year! I wonder what I should get my cat? Probably something new for her to loose under the table. I wish I had some money to go and get some manga :P I saw the ones I was looking for at an Anime store in Little Tokyo. "Ahh sir times is hard times is haaaaard" -Mrs. Lovett. Anyways, I really should post more often and read Cheese's blog. blah I guess I'm off to go read that now. Ja ne! <-- see ya' in a little bit.

Treble-clef time!

A beautiful picture I took at the little tourist village.

Mmm, Shrimp, crab and scallop salad! Oishii! (Delicious!)

A re-creation of the famous picture from New York.

I can't remember who this person was I think it started with a B... Maybe it was Bob?

The lamp looks like a UFO!

"Fuses & Torpedo's" hm... Torpedo's on a train?

A delicious boba drink. Tahi tea (IT'S ORANGE?!?!) no milk tea... It tasted pretty good though. A lot better than my brother's Durian smoothie. Too creamy for me K-thanks.

Mmm, a delicious Vietnamese sandwich before I go to Japanese class! A pretty good day if you ask me!

DOMINATED IKE!

Mom called my Grahm to see if she had heard anything about the hurricane. It turns out that Grahm had just hung up with Farrah's dad. Which means that....THEY'RE OKAY!!!! I feel so relived! The watter didn't even come up their driveway enough to water their grass in the front yard! Haha TAKE THAT, IKE! Hmm, maybe I shouldn't taunt the bull...

I went to Japanese Culture class today and I did the homework right this time! But, sensee decided to go over Elementary school in Japan and how it was different than school here. I had no idea what anyone was talking about, being homeschooled and all. Most people usually go to school for a little at least but, not me! I've been homeschooled since birth! I don't really want to go to public school in America anyways. I probably wouldn't mind Japanese schools though. I'm going to look at transfer student stuff when I finish learning the language. I could go without knowing all of it but, I think it would be more fun if I knew what people were saying. They're so different, I really wish I would've just grown-up in Japan. But, then I guess I wouldn't have met all of my friends. Confusing O_o, now my head hurts. Anyways, everything is fine now so, YAY!
(The cat bus is from Totoro, one of Farrah's favorite animes that we watched together back in the day....)

JA21: Saturday and JA1: Monday

Today I found out that I did my homework wrong. I did way too much, and in the wrong format. Today in my Japanese Culture class, I learned all about the Shinto shrines, Buddhism, the Jomon period and the Yayoi period. I really do enjoy this class! Even if Shimura-sensee keeps shelling out homework. I already finished my JA1 homework. Since it was basically learning what characters made which sound it was pretty easy. Wednesday I learned A-H.

I've been into random pictures lately I guess, hence the awesome Popsicle lady on the top left of this post. Till next post, Sayonara (さよなら)

Anime Tuesday?

"Clint Eastwood" - Gorillaz

Oh oh oh oh oh
I ain't happy,
I'm feeling glad

I'm useless but Not for long
The future is coming on

I ain't happy, I'm feeling glad I got sunshine, in a bag

The future is coming on
It's coming on

Picture you gettin' down in a picture tube
Like you lit the fuse
You think it's fictional
Mystical? Maybe
Spiritual Hearable
What appears in you is a clearer view cos you're too crazy
Lifeless
To know the definition for what life is
Priceless
For you because I put you on the hype shit
You like it?
Gunsmokin' righteous with one token Psychic
among those Possess you with one go

I ain't happy,
I'm feeling glad
I got sunshine, in a bag
I'm useless,but not for long
The future is coming on

I ain't happy, I'm feeling glad
I got sunshine, in a bag
I'm useless, but not for long
The future is coming on
It's coming on
It's coming on
It's coming on

The essence the basics
Without it you make it
Allow me to make this Childlike in nature
Rhythm
You have it or you don't that's a fallacy
I'm in them
Every sprouting tree Every child apiece
Every cloud you see
You see with your eyes I see destruction and demise
Corruption in disguise From this fuckin' enterprise
Now I'm sucking to your lies
Through Russ, though not his muscles but the percussion he provides
with me as a guide
But y'all can see me now cos you don't see with your eye
You perceive with your mind
That's the inner
So I'm gonna stick around with Russ and be a mentor
Bust a few rhymes so mother fuckers Remember where the thought is
I brought all this So you can survive when law is
lawless
Feelings, sensations that you thought were dead
No squealing, remember (that it's all in your head)

I ain't happy, I'm feeling glad
I got sunshine, in a bag
I'm useless, but not for long
The future is coming on

This isn't even from an anime but, it is anime in it's own way... The Gorillaz are a virtual band and no one has seen them in person... Kind of like the band, Kiss. They all wore make-up but one day they took it off and out pops Gene Simmons. The Gorillaz were even at the Grammes but had an AWESOME projection/hologram thing going on.

"Feel Good Inc." and "Hung Up" - The Gorillaz and Madonna

I found the Gorillaz AMAZING! I still don't know how they did the hologram thing. Madonna is kind of um, LAME. But, she shows off how the Gorillaz look like they're actually there! She even walks behind them! It's so awesome! Just imagine what people could do with stuff like that. Usually pictures are projected on pieces of glass but when Madonna went behind them you would've been able to see her through the hologram!

Here's a bonus, I'M FINALLY DONE WITH MY HOMEWORK! Next weeks homework shouldn't be half as bad. I get to practice the Harigana/Katakana characters next week in JA1 and I don't really know what I do next JA21 but, It'll probably be awesome! Till next post, Sayonara!

Homework....

I never thought I would be complaining about homework, but here I am!

I just received an incredible amount of homework from my Japanese classes (JA1 and JA21)! I have to read Chapter 1 from my Japanese Culture textbook and summarize it. Also, I have to include certain facts within the first few sentences and such. I started reading the book and found it really quite interesting. I am pretty much done being grammatically correct now.

I will totally puh-own my homework and will enjoy it too. My life lately has been pretty good. I went to Disney Friday, hung out with my awesome friends and have been doing pretty good in gym. I need to get back to crocheting and drawing, and still need to do my JA21 homework. I think I'll add some romajinized Japanese sentences for people who read my blog. Oh! I just remembered that I need to send Kaleb some Japanese too! Anyways, here's some Japanese:

Anata no namae wa nan desu ka? What is your name?

Watashi no namae wa _____ desu. My name is ____.

Konban wa. Good evening.

Koniichiwa. Good afternoon.

Ohayou. Good morning.

Ohayou gozaimosu. Good morning (polite).

Itekimasu. I'm leaving (usually home).

Tadaima. I'm back.

Instead of Ohayou Gozaimausu. Usually you do not pronounce the U's and the end of words. Till next post, Sayonara!
(I have no idea how the picture is related, It just looked good..)

Japanese

日本語 I took Japanese 1 today at IVC (most people had suggested JA1A but, being the
(Japanese) difficult teen I am I had to choose JA1...) this is probably the hardest class I've ever taken! Sensee (teacher) decided to have the class do really long sentences and started talking really fast, I couldn't keep up! The homework looks doable though.

Oh, and here's another thing, Sensee really recommends tutoring to everyone so I tried to sign up but I have to have that "pre-approved" too! I hate that just because I'm younger than everyone in class I have to be "approved" it's not like I'm some children's reading material or something! I just sit there and learn. I'm really getting sick of this age limit thing. Can't I just go through some sort of test to let me in stuff without having to go through the same thing over and over? Good thing this "tutoring" counts as 5% of my grade. I'm basically already done with the system and just looking forward to the part where I learn the characters.

I'll be learning Hiragana, then Katakana and then Kenji. Just the simple Kenji though because now and days people usually only use it for names and some books... I'm actually kind of excited for Wednesday even thought today went kind of bad. Anyways, Till next time, Sayonara!

Get into gear already!

I assembled my desk today! It took me a really long time though but, I did it all by myself! I really want to start getting into a schedule again... So far it's been going rather umm, lame. I've been waking up way too late, not going running like I wanted too and I haven't been stretching in the morning, either. Basically I want my schedule to be something like this:

8am Wake up
8:05am Eat breakfast, stretch out/ Leave for Japanese Culture class (on Saturdays)
9:30am Start studying for Japanese 1 (JA1)
11am Try to catch Gunsmoke on TV Land (I've just really been into that show lately)/Leave for Teen Disney Days (Thursdays?, Fridays?)
12pm Eat lunch/ Go to park days (some Mondays)
12:35pm Get home from JCC/Do whatever, Go on the computer, Blog, Walk the dog ect./Leave for JA1 (Mondays and Wednesdays)
6:30pm Free time or more studying... Or read a book
10:30pm Get home from JA1/ Get ready for bed/ Study a little bit more... XD
11pm - 12am Go to bed

Basically something like that... But I still need to figure out when I want to do Gymnastics... I defiantly want to go into the 3-4 Grade but I still haven't decided which day... Cheese and I still need to have a ridiculous talk that will probably end up having to do with pink skirts and gym teachers. ;3 I'm off to bed now, till next time, Sayonara!

GAP GODLEYY Anime Photo

First off, THIS IS A GODLEYY (Yes, with two Y's) PHOTO!!!! I was looking at random neko anime pics on Google and I found this beauty! It would be really awesome if I could dress up as her for Halloween! Speaking of which, I still need to figure out what I want to be! Or if there's a awesome theme all the teens are going to do! If I think of something awesome I'll probably have to sew it so it'll take a while... But It would be nice to dress up as something less childish... Cat ears would be good so would awesome wings! Now I'll have to look up a lot of stuff...

I picked up all my textbooks Tuesday! I've been looking stuff up in the Japanese-English, English-Japanese dictionary since! Like my latest anime I finished: Kodomo no Jikan, Kodomo means: child, no is possessive and Jikan is time! So basically it's Children's school time. Which makes a lot of sense with the anime around a class of 4Th graders and their teacher. Anyways, till next post, Sayonara!

Monday

Today we got a Wii (used) from Game Stop! My bro's been playing it non-stop! I also got to sign up for my classes at IVC today! I'm enrolled in Japanese 1 and Japanese Culture 1! The first classes start on the 25Th! And I am SO pumped!!! And me and my family are going to Disneyland on the 19Th! I don't really know what this picture is but it's some Japanese myth (like the Crakken or such).

I'm really excited for gymnastics this week too. I don't really know why but, maybe it's because I'll get to work on my Mill Circles and Swivel Hips. I haven't been keeping track of the Olympics earlier today. A friend told me about how America puhowned France yesterday. I probably should start watching it so I can get some awesome ideas of Gymnastics combos. So far the only one that I'm doing that looks decent is cartwheel into side splits. I was trying to put together stuff like handstand into back-bend into umm... something clever. I'll keep trying though, I need to start stretching every day.

I totally need to get into a routine! I should start waking up earlier (One of my classes are at 9:30 and it takes us a little bit to get there)! Set aside study time, Wii time, computer time, free time... Ahh! Too much in my head already! Me and mom are going to get the text books tomorrow! Maybe I can re-view a little bit so it'll give me a head-start! Till next post,
Sayonara!

Wii are pumped!

First of all, my bro has been begging me to let him get the Wii. Mom said we all had to vote so It was basically 1 V.S. 1. The only reason I didn't want to get rid of the PS2 is because, I was still playing Kingdom Hearts (1 & 2) but, I found out they made a manga! I basically wanted to play the game so I could get the story line... We're planning to get a Wii on Monday after going to the park. Monday is soo busy for me! I'm going to park day, picking up a Wii, regestering for Fall classes... And figure out what stuff I need to get for the classes and look for a desk to do all the homework I'm going to do on.

I'm also working on crocheting a red scarf... It's not going too well... My mom knows knitting (she took a class at CHN) and maybe I can get her to teach me! I am REALLY excited to go to Disney Land again! The first day that I'm able to go is the 18Th, That day my family and I are going! We'll probably go the 19Th too! Of course there's that new Toy Story shooting game! I was pretty good at the Astro Blasters so maybe I'll be good at these too...

I made S'more bars today for dessert! I found a recipe online. It didn't take that long either! But, I think it's WAY too sweet! It probably would've been better with dark chocolate than milk... I might have added too many marshmallows though. Blah, I'm done with sugar right now.

I went to an AWESOME beach yesterday! The water was shallow and the swells were decent, a must Boogie Boarding spot for beginners! You could go out 2 meters from shore and it would still be up to your waist. My friends and I body surfed most of the day away! It's not so much fun when your top threatens to come off. So I'm glad a brought a shirt! All and all it was a LOT of fun!

Karasama (a nickname, after his name getting shorter (Jonathan, Jon, Jo,J and then Jay is like a Blue Jay so then it was Orange Jay (OJ ahah OJ Simpson) then OJJE (pronounced like Oji = Karasuma Oji from School Rumble, DING!) and I swam to a rock and jumped off into the ocean. The people in line in front of us were scared until people (mostly me) told them if they didn't jump off they would get pushed off =3. Until the Life Guard made us get off... The sunset was really pretty too, I just sat on the Jetty and stared at it for maybe an hour. After it was dark the watter looked like liquid mettle! There's only one word to name the sight, GODLEYY! XD

ASL classes

Sorry, I haven't been writing much lately in my blog. I've had a lot of reports lately with my new class I'm taking. I'm taking American Sign Language: Class 1. I'm picking this up quite well if I may say so myself. It helps that I have a friend that is already in ASL 3 or 4. I forgot which one she's in. I already written a 'relay paper' and a 'order in person paper'. The main thing in the relay paper is using Relay (http://www.ip-relay.com/). Relay is kinda like IMing but, for deaf people. But, the Order in person paper you had to order some food or beverage and write down your order on a piece of paper. Like a deaf person would in day to day life surrounded by hearing people...

Algebra..WOO! (not)

Tomorrow I'm going to my 2nd algebra class....I didn't really understand algebra untill 3am that is. Some how being half asleep makes everything make sence. So yeah, I OWNED my algebra papers. This is a link of Algebra getting owned =) http://algebra.justgotowned.com/
