Cherry Blossom Festival '09!

We (Neil, Sun and I) meet at the fire-look-out place in Little Tokyo at 10. Then we go to the opening ceremony where there was some awesome Taiko drumming going on! It was beautiful!

Next, Ishii-sensee gets her "Teachers Make A Difference Award"! YAY, SENSEE! She is the best "official" teacher I've ever had (Although I've only had probably 3 teachers in my life, so far... :3. My mom, Ishii-sensee, a sign language teacher from SCC (he was the ABSOLUTE WORST TEACHER, EVER!) and Shimura-sensee (from Japanese Culture class, she was okay but she gave out wayyy too much homework!).

Ishii-sensee is in the middle with the short hair, next to the guy with white hair.

This is Sun, posing with Hello Kitty, who distracted us from the awards ceremony. Oh, well. It was basically over anyways!

What? Do you think I'd miss out on this photo op?

Sun (black) tries to teach Neil (white) how to play Go...

20 minutes later... How's that "teaching" going? O_O More like total annihilation! Sorry, Neil.
Hmm... Who won? Those game pieces in and on top of the plastic lids are the ones that the players have captured. See that big pile of white? That's all of Neil's captives. See the little black group? That's what Neil has captured from San. :D Not even close, Sun wins by a landslide!

Even in the big city, there's some beautiful man-made sites. I never thought I would have "beautiful" and "man-made" in the same sentence, ever.

People whiz by not even knowing that that beautiful sky line is there.

Life update!

Dad took my little brother and I to Snow Vally in Big Bear. I flew down the runs like hell broke loose and was chasing me, I must have gotten up to 15mph (<-- Possibly a 'big fish' story:D). That might explain why it hurt when I used my special breaking technique! Which is basically falling on my bottom, it worked pretty well until the snow decided to turn into an ice rink :p.

Nice pic. of the ski lift, self*pats self on back*.

I've seen this car around our house lately, I have no idea what the "Meat Party" van is. Mom says maybe it's a hooker bus. O_o maybeee?

This is me at the Japanese/Chinese Open House at my collage! Sensee, (behind me in the yellow Kimono) helped me figure out how to get the Kimono on! (It's pretty difficult!) But they're soooo comfortable! I can see why the Japanese ware them in the summer!

Day in My Life: Santa Fe 10-8-2008

I help Michell cheat at go fish.
Surfer dude about to get annihilated between two waves! XD

Pretty Santa Fe Mosaic at the train station!

Awesome torii like thing that I can't read... Effing Kanji!

The boys google at the dragon.

Russian submarine, anyone?

Treble-clef time!

A beautiful picture I took at the little tourist village.

Mmm, Shrimp, crab and scallop salad! Oishii! (Delicious!)

A re-creation of the famous picture from New York.

I can't remember who this person was I think it started with a B... Maybe it was Bob?

The lamp looks like a UFO!

"Fuses & Torpedo's" hm... Torpedo's on a train?

A delicious boba drink. Tahi tea (IT'S ORANGE?!?!) no milk tea... It tasted pretty good though. A lot better than my brother's Durian smoothie. Too creamy for me K-thanks.

Mmm, a delicious Vietnamese sandwich before I go to Japanese class! A pretty good day if you ask me!

Skating Sunday!

I went roller blading Sunday! It was a lot of fun! My family and Cheese's family went to Holiday Skate in Orange. They have special deals on Sunday nights from 6:30 to 8:30pm. A family up to 5 can skate for $5.50 each including skates. The inline ones are extra and they don't have the beautiful stopper on the front that gives you a guaranteed face plant.
I fell a lot on my knees and elbow (no thanks to Cheese! XD). They still hurt a little bit but, what could help soar muscles than a shower? A shower with no hot water (We had hot water I just wanted to know what Jon was going on about)! It would've been a good idea if it wasn't already 10 'o-clock at night. I had fun thought and hope to go again in a week or two. Anyways till next post, Sayonara!

Wii are pumped!

First of all, my bro has been begging me to let him get the Wii. Mom said we all had to vote so It was basically 1 V.S. 1. The only reason I didn't want to get rid of the PS2 is because, I was still playing Kingdom Hearts (1 & 2) but, I found out they made a manga! I basically wanted to play the game so I could get the story line... We're planning to get a Wii on Monday after going to the park. Monday is soo busy for me! I'm going to park day, picking up a Wii, regestering for Fall classes... And figure out what stuff I need to get for the classes and look for a desk to do all the homework I'm going to do on.

I'm also working on crocheting a red scarf... It's not going too well... My mom knows knitting (she took a class at CHN) and maybe I can get her to teach me! I am REALLY excited to go to Disney Land again! The first day that I'm able to go is the 18Th, That day my family and I are going! We'll probably go the 19Th too! Of course there's that new Toy Story shooting game! I was pretty good at the Astro Blasters so maybe I'll be good at these too...

I made S'more bars today for dessert! I found a recipe online. It didn't take that long either! But, I think it's WAY too sweet! It probably would've been better with dark chocolate than milk... I might have added too many marshmallows though. Blah, I'm done with sugar right now.

I went to an AWESOME beach yesterday! The water was shallow and the swells were decent, a must Boogie Boarding spot for beginners! You could go out 2 meters from shore and it would still be up to your waist. My friends and I body surfed most of the day away! It's not so much fun when your top threatens to come off. So I'm glad a brought a shirt! All and all it was a LOT of fun!

Karasama (a nickname, after his name getting shorter (Jonathan, Jon, Jo,J and then Jay is like a Blue Jay so then it was Orange Jay (OJ ahah OJ Simpson) then OJJE (pronounced like Oji = Karasuma Oji from School Rumble, DING!) and I swam to a rock and jumped off into the ocean. The people in line in front of us were scared until people (mostly me) told them if they didn't jump off they would get pushed off =3. Until the Life Guard made us get off... The sunset was really pretty too, I just sat on the Jetty and stared at it for maybe an hour. After it was dark the watter looked like liquid mettle! There's only one word to name the sight, GODLEYY! XD

Kodomo no Jikan

Sayonara, Kodomo no Jikan! I just finished Season ichi (1) and cannot wait for season ne (2) to come out! I had to watch episode 12 censored though... The only difference is that they beep bad words. Which really sucks actually because these little kids come up with funny things to say! But, instead all I heard were retarded animal noises... Oh well. I've been trying to practice the chibi (little) Japanese I know, so maybe I'll be better at it hen i take the classes... I already have the accent down pretty well. That's what you get when you watch a LOT of subbed anime! I don't really care for the dubbed so much because they usually cut stuff out... Espicially in situations like Furuba (you might as well read every-other page in the manga!). But yeah, My favorite character in this anime is Kuro Kagimi (鏡 黒). I probably like her so much because she ware's a cat tail and ears all the time! I'm such a neko (cat) fan =(^-^)=! What else can I say about this anime... Don't watch it if you have no sense of humor. Good thing I have hachi-juu (80) tons of that! Till next post (which will be looooong), Sayonara!

Batman: The Dark Knight

This is seriously the best movie that I've ever seen (besides the ORIGINAL Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (1971) with Gene Wilder. That or maby Blazing Sattles). The Joker was my favorite character in the movie! He was funny, needed to take a shower and phyco! Can someone say TRIPPLE WAMMY? I did a few photo shopped beautys to commemorate how beautiful the Joker is:

I call this one "Everyone has a little Joker in them"

The Joker is actually Christine I may have went a little overboard... You might remember this picture from the Halloween Haunt post. I'm Batman, and look even the...Whatever that is, is smiling XD!

Have you seen this? "Chilling Batman movie no joking matter for children". I mean, If you're going to criticize something at leas make it something that actually matters! I saw Sin City when I was 9, American Pie (all 3) when I was 7, and a whole bunch of other R rated movies when I was younger! I mean, COME ON! This is ridiculous! Till next post/rant, Sayonara!

Miki Falls

Today I went to Boarders and was looking at books. After I found Vampirates 3: Blood Captain I found the manga isle. I've never been in one. It's a hard thing to confess, being a manga and anime fanatic. But, yes it's true. I usually borrow anime from the library or read it online. So this is the first manga I've ever bought! I feal like a cool kid! I want to start buying them instead of waiting for the library to come out with it (usually 6-12 months from the release date). This is a four volume series, the first book is Spring the second is Summer, third is Autumn, fourth is Winter ect. This is the main story for the first book:

"Miki Yoshida’s final year of high school has begun, and she’s intrigued by Hiro Sakurai, the new boy in town. The problem is, Hiro wants nothing to do with Miki or in fact anyone else in their little town. Unfortunately for Hiro, Miki’s not going to take no for an answer. As she follows him around school and is determined to be his friend, though, she’s starting to realize that she may be in over her head. And when her fall happens, it could be a long one indeed."

I think it's kind of like Twilight because, like the main characters there's one person who seems cold in the beginning and starts to loosen up near the end of the book. I will probably have Christine read this book. I'll want it back of course. After that I went to gymnastics... Which was fun but, I won't go into it that far. That's what My Flying Circus is for! Till next time, Sayorara!

I'm back!

I'm back from my trip at sea! I'll have to do a 5 day in my life post when I get the pictures developed. But I'll tell you what I did now and pictureify it later.

July 7, Monday

Everyone took turnes raising people to the mast in a chair (it looked like a wooden swing). We mostley got associated with the crue and some of the campers. Japan intruduced me to a few of her friends from last year. Last year everyone gave each other country names:

Christine > Japan
Travis > Britin
Chris > Columbia
Rachel > Morroco
Ali > Africa
Hayley > Mexico
Bella > Cuba
Jeni > Finland
David > China
Me > Israel

I named Bella Cuba because she was rather small and fragile looking so that's like the total opposite of a Cuban! I was rather clever if I do say so myself! We got situated and figured out where we slept and unpacked. Afterwords we went to the Aquarium of the Pacific. Since I used to volunteer there (for about 1 year) you could tell that I didn't really want to go but, oh well. So as I was at the AOP I spotted a few people that I knew. Lily and Taylor. These are probably the last people I wanted to see at the Aquarium! I forgot that Monday is their usual shift! So I sneaked by hoping to be unnoticeable, mission accomplished! One thing has been knocked off my list!

July 8, Tuesday

We woke up and went to Shoreline Village and took showers just so we could have those few hours when we were clean! After that we were finally out at sea! It was a 4 hour boat ride to Avalon, Catalina. The ship was anchored and we took a small ferry to shore. Once we got there we had a scavenger hunt for stuff like: What time is the Sheriff Department open? and Where's City Hall?. So the girl team won that contest we didn't have to clean the heads today! There was 7 girls and 18 guys. The guys split into 2 teams to make it more even. After that was all done we headed back to the ship, were we had lunch. I'm not picky about food but, there was these sandwiches that were horrible! They consisted of processed cheese, ham and turkey. I had to eat at least some of it but, I could only bring myself to eat half. Christine was the same way. Probably because we're both Foodies. The rest of the day was pretty slow. We got to jump off the boat into the water! I stayed on the food sticky but some people went to 6 bars up (each bar was around a yard apart)! Christine and I took pictures of each other underwater with our Awesome Underwater Cameras (AUC for short)!

July 9, Wednesday

Today was a very bad day for me. I woke up and felt sick so I spent most of the day throwing up! Sounds fun doesn't it? While I was having a party in my bucket the rest of the campers went snorkeling and kayaking. I caught a second wind and decided to go kayaking! I had a lot of fun! Afterwords we went to a beach I forgot the name but, it was pretty nice (except for the sand fleas and bees)! We had another competition to see who cleans the heads today! The first thing was a kayak race around bouies! Japan and I dominated everyone so the girls won that leg! The other legs were: "Spinning around 15 times, then race around a paddle in the ground and try not to fall", "Skipping pebbles 35 times in the wake", "Covering a person up to the neck in sand and then building a sand castle on them"(Cuba forgot her swim suit so I was buried, I was the second smallest in the group), "Build a sea animal in the sand" (we built a Sea Cucumber), "Write 'American Pride' in the wake before it got erased by the waves", "Swim to the inflatable boat and back" (Christie owned this leg in the race! She used to swim in a team) and finally we had to tackle a crue member to the ground. That last part was made-up! So we won again! After that we played a little bit of dodge ball! I'm not good at it at all... One kid got Travis (Britain) in the face and chipped a tooth. It wasn't that bad though. So it went downhill from there one time I threw the ball and it bounced it got the Tooth Chipped in the groin!XD

July 1o, Thursday

Today we pulled anchor and sailed to Twin Harbors on the way we passed Bird Poop Rock (a small piece of land COVERED in bird poop)! We took another fairy to land. We helped bring food and balls and other supplies to shore for the day. This will be the longest I've been on land for awhile now... So soon after getting everything somewhat set up we went on a short hike. Our first stop Death Beach! We found a rotting dead seal! Just what I needed! So as we continue out hike we find people picking up skulls and such. We work our way to another beach and there's two trails we could take I decide to take the EXTREME one and drag Christine with me. So here we are almost hiking vertically up a hill... It was fun to go down though! We reach our destination, another beach! This one is a lot better though! There's a lot of rocks and such to climb on! I decided to just sit on one and take a break while Christine stayed up on the hill on a bench. The break was nice but, It didn't last long enough...As we were heading back (Christine and I took the low trail this time) one of the crue found Coyote Brush! It smells really good! Cowboys used to use it as something to cover up the delicious smell of being out in the sun and not taking a shower (showers were rather expensive back then). So Kurt rubbed it on Finland and everyone took turns sniffing her! It was funny but not as funny as my blue and green armpits (never wear Tye-Dye before washing it first)! I was missing my gymnastics class but, this was cool too. We head back the way we came and saw a Buffalo/Bison! It made Christine and I suddenly crave a Buffalo Burger! Like I said, we're Foodies! We went back through Death Beach and people were fishing for Leopard shark in a Leopard shark nursery. I only knew what they were fishing for because there already was a dead one by the fishers foot. After Kurt (one of the crue) made some comments about how that's wrong (but completely legal) we left. We got back to the camp site (whatever you'd call a place where you store all your junk for the day and has tables). There was Mustachieo (another one of the crue that everyone called Captain Crunch because of his awesome mustache) with some snorkeling gear. I didn't have a chance to go in Catalina so I went snorkeling here! Once Ali, Kurt, Hayley and I got into the wet sutes (this was the first time I've worn one!) we started realizing how funny we all looked (epically me) Ali looked like a model for some Billabong add Hayley looked like a serious diver and my suet was a little too big... I had a groin fold and a back Brest! It was pretty funny though! We finally got out into the water and Mustachieo decided he was going to wear just his speedo! I had a hard time not falling over and laughing until I passed out! It was hilarious! Just imagine a mustache in speedo shorts with tattoos and snorkeling gear!XD Once we got into the ocean we saw Garibaldi, Bat rays, Round rays, sea stars, lots and lots of kelp and Kurt found a HUDGE Sea Hair! He has a thing for them. It's a bit scary actually. The water was freezing and people took turns unzipping wet suites! It must have been 50 degrees (Fahrenheit)! We saw some kayakers, One of the people in the kayak thought I was a guy and bopped me on the head! It was funny though because this was before he was in the water and he said "Sorry if you're a girl I can't tell". Soon after that I flipped him over with a little help (I don't weigh enough to flip someone over by myself (I tried earlier)). Soon after that we headed back to shore, here's a tip for ya': It's easier if you take off your wet suet in the water. People were playing Jail break (a volleyball game). Instead of playing I took a shower Christine wanted to use flip flops but didn't pack any so I let her use mine. I jut put paper towels down on the floor of the shower when I went. Bella took a shower last. She went in the same one I did but, It wasn't working... Very odd because, I was just using it mabey 2 minutes before. So once we found a shower that worked she FINALLY got to take one! We forgot Christine's shorts in the bathroom when we left so she went back only to find that the people already cleaned! So she still hasn't found her shorts... We played Jailbreak for a little bit (I caught the ball once!!! Yay!). We did skits after that. The girls won! our skit mainly consists of Mustachieo and his speedo and Kurt marrying a Sea Hair. We had dinner and then watched a movie: Captain Rob. It was a funny movie! I cracked open a glow stick and it was as bright as one of those stadium lights!!! It didn't last that long though... Just about 6 hours I think.

July 11, Friday

Today we go home! At this point I was missing my cat Maneki verrrry much! Most of the day we were cleaning. I was polishing brass and copper. Mustachieo said that if you helped polish you could steer the ship. I didn't really care if I got to steer or not but, I'm one of those people that help out as much as possible. So I ended up polishing almost everything! I got to steer the ship after all I got to steer it into the harbor through the rocky gates and everything! Mustachieo and the Captain were telling me what to do, where to turn and everything! It was AWESOME! I was taught how to do a braid naught by Finland. So I was practicing that too. The Captain and crue wanted me to stay longer so I could finish polishing all the brass and copper. I know they were just joking but, I would've even if they weren't joking! We were finally in the dock and people were getting picked up. Christine got picked up first so I had more time to practice my naught. And play a little more Shithead, pronounced Shith-eed. Sometimes people call this game Anchores away too. I was picked up by my mom, brother and dog. Soon after I got home I took a shower and ate fo' real food! The end.

The Melacnocholy of Haruhi Suzumiya

The latest anime in my brain (and on the computer) is "The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya"! It's a REALLY awsome anime! Right now i'm on episode 6. By the way if you were wondering what onnoko means, it means girl in Japanese. So my URL and title is Anime Girl! I love anime soo much! I try to draw it but, usually fail....Except for the Ichigo drawing Idid! That was the one exception. I mostly draw anime people. Back to Haruhi this is a funny serious about a girl (Haruhi) that constantally searches for "Aleians, Time-travelers and Espers". She doesn't realize that all 3 of those are in the SOS Bragade. And then there's Kyon but, who cares about him. Gotta Love Breath turned me on to this series. Origato gozaimasu Gotta Love Breath-senpai! (Thank you very much, Gotta Love breath!). I think i'll go wach another episode now! Sayonara!

July trip

In July I'm going on this AWESOME ship trip! I am soooo pumped! It kinda helps that I'm going with a friend. Any ways the ship's a old restored Schooner and there's a lot of stuff to do! Like, kayaking, volleyball, swimming, and a whole bunch of other stuff! I AM SO PUMPED! Okay, enough bragging... It's just I've never been to a camp before. Not Girl Scouts or a Summer Camp either. That's probably why I'm so pumped it's a whole new experience! And I'll be out at see for 5 days!

Band day

I was at DL (Disney land) and everyone in the Teens group dressed up like pro kids from a rock band. We couldn't decide what to name the band I thought the name 'Racially Confused' was pretty awesome but, 'The Cancerous Lumps' is clever too... So we didn't ever name the band. I played the tambourine and Christine was playing the finger symbols. Nick was playing a maraca I think. And Russell was the lead singer (oh dear) it was pretty bad over all but, we looked like we came straight from a rock concert. It was a lot of fun.

Halloween Dance

Disturbing? HECK YES! That's "Misty" from Pokémon. And the person with an R on his shirt is "James" from Team Rocket! And if you have no clue what Pokémon is there's something wrong with you I mean COME ON it's on TV all the time! Ha "James" dyed his hair with Kool-Aid. I probably only worked because his hair was really light blonde. The person at the car is not dressed up at all...But, who can tell unless they know him.

And this is the Jester! She SO should've worn that to Halloween Haunt. Her coller has BELLS! Too bad one fell off...A lot of things went missing that dace, "Jesse's" earring, one of the bracelets I was waring and the Jester's bell (Actually I think she found it again..). And the reason I don't have a picture of me is because Blogger wouldn't download it, LAME.

Team Rocket! Jesse! "Surrender now or prepare to fight Meoth that's rite!". "Jesse" is the person in front. Ash Kechem (as in Gotta' Kechem' all HAHAH).Is on the right and "Meoth" is on the left..Yeah, That was a pro dance... XD HARDCORE!
