Alice In Wonderland

Lately, I guess I have been having a bit of an Alice fetish. I've been reading The Looking Glass Wars and it's an amazing book! I decided that I need to go to the library more often. Mostly because my English is going slowly down hill, I've been writing/speaking too much Japanese, recently. If there is such a thing. Anyways, I'm going to be Alice for Halloween. This is probably the first time I've planned out what I'm going to be, before October.

I can't wait until the Fall semester starts! Summer's been pretty boring, to be honest. I would've been camping for 5 days. But then my dad decided he didn't like crowds, so we had to leave the next day. After spending a bunch of money on camping stuff, there wasn't much left to do fun stuff with.

I saw the newest Harry Potter movie! It was the best one ever, so far! I need to re-read the series. I haven't even read the last book yet. Oh well. I rather read 'Little Cricket'. It's a pretty good book, too. It takes place in Vietnam in the '70s. It's not too harsh, though.

Toshiba

Yesterday the family (Dad, Mom, Bro and I) went to Best Buy and got a Toshiba Laptop/Notebook (whatever people call them), and then today we got a wireless router so right now I'm typing this on the dining room table! I'm geeking out! Hehehe.

Besides the recent update in our tech nothing's really been going on here. I've been sleeping in instead of watching anime. I've just been so tired lately.... But, I have been translating everything that I've heard into Japanese (as well as possible at least).

Oh! Tonight I'm going to a New Year's Eve party at one of my friend's house. I don't know how long I'll be able to last though. It probably didn't help that I was listening to The Beatles a lot today. I was going to make Glazed Meatballs from Bento Boxes:Japanese Meals On The Go by Naomi Kijima. But, I forgot to get an onion and i don't know how it would turn out without it... So NOW I have to try and find something to get/make that only takes 30 minutes or less! Speaking of bento boxes, I ordered egg molds from J-list.com and they couldn't get here soon enough!!! Since my mom will start a new job as a Relater I'll be the one to take care of the house mostly and make her a bento box everyday! I don't mind either though. I like hard work, which is why I just don't understand it when kids say "No! I don't want to do the dishes!" or something like that.

Here's another update, I got a new skateboard the other day! I don't know where my other one went. It's not like me to loose things (That's my brother's job)... So my new deck is an Enjoi (Haha that ISN'T a type-o, it's actually spelt that way) with a black and white panda on it, argyle trucks and black skull and crossbones wheels. It looks so awesome! I've almost learned how to do an Ollie! Breaking with the tail end of the board is still a bit difficult though... :p Anyways I should be heading out on the ol' dusty trail... Sayonara!

Chibi Time!

I was over at my friend's house and she had a few chibi and manga books. So we were drawing chibi for a loooooooong while. Christine drew Chibus (Chibi Jesus). And I drew a crazy cat loving person (kind of like myself). I really like cats. Crazy Cat Lady Chalupa!XD Sounds pro to me! I guess the drawing I have on this post isn't really chibish at all. Oh well, it's a cat!

Sweeny Todd

I've been reading the book "Sweeny Todd" It's pretty amazing! I'm going to see the movie after I read the book. But, I'm pretty sure the book is better than the movie (it usually is). I'm also reading A Midsummer's Night Dream and Romeo and Juliet (might as well read some Shakespeare books too. I like the classics). I'm about half way through Sweeny. Or as Mrs. Lovett likes to call him Mr. T., Imagine the REAL Mr. T as a barber... Hold still FOOL... Good times. What could be a better movie than one with the actor Johnny Depp (Captain Jack Sparrow) and directed by Tim Burton (Jack Skellington)? Anyway, the book is called 'Sweeny Todd the Demon Barber of Fleet Street' I really suggest you go and read it.
